Yushchenko for unified grain exchange creation

Speaking on Agriculture Workers Day meeting in National Agrarian University, President Viktor Yushchenko said he is for Ukrainian unified grain exchange founding. As to Yushchenko, creation of this exchange will enable producers to get market prices for their products. “We can’t assure proper prices without having created unified electronic tenders floor, “ said President. Besides, Yushchenko made it known there is no definite, economically justified strategy for Ukrainian grain market sector so far. As to him, country grain market has been recently exercised constant administrative interference upon. “We must initiate policy package targeted at grain market prices regulation which would enable Government and local authorities to come out of deaf corner they are now in due to this problem,” emphasized President. While speaking on priority directions of country grain market situation improving, Yushchenko firstly mentioned necessity of filling Agrarian Fund with corresponding food resources, significant strengthening of Ukrainian citizens social protection mechanism, improving of agricultural producers State support effectiveness and creation of land market legal/normative base. Earlier, Yushchenko expressed displeasure over country grain market situation. As to him, Ukrainian grain production is characterized with many negative tendencies with its condition having been worsened through administrative interference/limitations.
