24.04.2007 16:45 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
South Korea on Monday has renewed import of a beef the USA, after three weeks after signing the agreement on free trade, officials declare, is spoken on a site «MeatInfo». " The beef from the USA in volume 6,4 t has arrived to South Korea today and expects inspection at airport Incheon «, the representative of the Ministry of Agriculture has declared. It(he) has declared, that the party(set) of meat from Kansas will go on sale next month after performance of check of individual packing on absence of bones. » We shall send back only packings with meat containing bones ", it(he) has declared, having added, that quarantine services and experts(auditeurs) will meet next week for definition of strict rules of check. South Korea which is the third market on size for a beef from the USA, has removed(has taken off) a 3-years interdiction entered because of the cow furiousness and has admitted(allowed) deliveries of boneless meat. But inspectors have blocked all three deliveries in volume 22 t in October-December after detection in them of bone fragments. The USA have reacted rigidly, having named these actions by protection of the Korean farmers. Removal of an interdiction is not an official part of the agreement on free trade which it has been concluded in the beginning of April. Till 2003 South Korea bought a beef in the USA on $850 million a year.
