Ministry of Agrarian Policy considers grain holders guilty of terminal Transinvestservice grains improper keeping
06.02.2007 14:00 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As to Ministry of Agrarian Policy press-service, Ministry is convinced grains holders are to be blamed for keeping grains in improper condition on terminal Transinvestservice (port Yuzhniy, Odessa region). «We think facts which take place now on terminal Transinvestservice are nothing but results of grains owners negligence,» says press-service as quoting Petro Verbytskiy, Deputy Ministry of Agrarian Policy. Press-service reminds quantity of grains kept on this terminal since Sept 2006 is 230,000240,000 MT. Ministry experts estimate terminal condition incompatible with grains long-terms storage norms. In Oct 2006 State Inspection for Agricultural Products Quality had checked up terminal and thereupon demanded from Transinvestservice owners to assure grains transportation for further processing (i.e. drying) on domestic elevators provided with necessary drying equipment. «Terminal Transinvestservice owners haven’t fulfilled this demand,» says press-service. As to Agro Perspective earlier report, autumn 2006 Cabinet introduced 2006/07 MY grains export licensing (and then quoting).
