UAC demands from Kherson region authorities to cancel grain removal/sale restrictions
05.10.2006 09:30 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Ukrainian Antimonopoly Committee (UAC) has required from Kherson Regional State Administration to abolish grain shipping out/selling limitations earlier introduced in Kherson region, reported UAC press-service. As to report, limitations must be cancelled till Oct 15. As to press-service, UAC is convinced Regional State Administration decision has infringed right of grain market participants to control their grain. As to Agro Perspective earlier report, early Sept Kherson Regional State Administration had recommended to all grain market economic entities to restrict shipping out/selling locally produced food wheat (2,3, 4 and 5 classes) beyond region until Dec 1, 2006, with shipping out/selling of food wheat/food wheat products to be permitted only due to contracts registered on exchange markets and after being approved by corresponding services: Inspection for Agricultural Resources Forming and Quality (subordinated to Kherson Regional State Administration), Kherson Regional State Plant Quarantine Inspection and Kherson Regional State Bread Inspection. It is to be reminded, this year Kherson region agrarians have harvested in total 1.4 mn MT grain. Regional internal annual food grain requirement is 155,800 MT.
