Kharkiv region agrarians sowed winter grains at 350,000 ha

As of Sept 25, Kharkiv region agrarians have sown winter crops at 350,000 ha (82% total planned), reported Kharkiv Regional State Administration press-service referring to Regional Agrarian-Industrial Development Main Department. As to press-service, winter crops sown for grain cover 347,700 ha of total winter crops sown areas. As to State Administration, this year regional agrarians are going to sow winter crops at total 427,900 ha. As to report, winter crops sowing has been totally ended in Blyzniuky and Shevchenkove districts (correspondingly 20,300 ha and 13,000 ha). Agrarians of Krasnokutsk district (winter crops sown at 97% total planned areas), Zachepylivka district (94% total planned) and Pervomaisk district (93% total planned) are about to end sowing. As to Agro Perspective earlier report, as of Aug 18, Kharkiv region agrarians had finished early grains/leguminous harvesting (early grains crop totaled 1.623 mn MT, average yield 21,6 metric centners per ha). In 2005 Kharkiv region agrarians had sown winter crops at total 387,200 ha.
