Lugansk region agrarians sowed winter crops at 141,000 ha

As of Sept 13, Lugansk region agrarians have sown winter crops at 141,400 ha (50.5% total planned), incl. winter crops for grain at 137,600 ha, reported Lugansk Regional State Administration press-service. As to press-service, each day regional agrarians are sowing winter crops at 15,00020,000 ha, with over 1,500 seeders used. Sowing isn’t going on fast enough to due to soil upper layers insufficient moisture. As to State Administration, regional agrarians have also harvested buckwheat at 9,800 ha and millet at 7,200 ha (correspondingly 84.5% and 56.3% total planned). Agrarians have as well harvested 11,000 MT sunseeds at 8,300 ha (3% total planned), with sunseeds yield averaging 13,2 metric centners per ha and 1,800 MT maize for grain, with maize average yield equaling to 38,9 metric centners per ha. As to Agro Perspective earlier report, as of Sept 1, Lugansk region agrarians had sown winter crops at 15,600 ha (6% total forecasted). This year regional agrarians plan to sow winter crops at total 280,000 ha (incl. winter wheat at 262,500 ha/winter rye at 9,400 ha).
