Ukraine, Canada to expand free trade agreement

As of this year Jul 2, while speaking within a joint briefing with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau within Toronto, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine is interested in strengthening trade, economic and investment cooperation with Canada, Ukrinform says referring to the Ukrainian President press service report.
«Trade, economic and investment cooperation has an important place within Ukrainian-Canadian relations. And we would like to strengthen it. Therefore, our countries will work on extending the bilateral free trade agreement to the sector of services and investments,» Zelensky admitted.
As to the report, he also noted that he and his team were working to ensure comfortable conditions for doing business within Ukraine.
«I sincerely welcome the investments of Canadian companies, such as Brookfield, TIU, Black Iron, and Vermilion in our country. Yesterday, a Ukrainian company together with Canadian Vermilion Energy Inc. won the right to oil and gas fields,» he informed.
In addition, he stressed that Ukraine would examine the experience of Canada as for building a fair, happy and successful country.
