Mauritius sugar output to boost to 325,000 tons

As to the Republic of Mauritius Agricultural Chamber experts’ forecast, the Mauritius 2019 sugar output is to grow to 325,000 tons, up 0.4% against 2018, Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers says referring to the Reuters’ report.
As to the report, earlier the sugar output was the Mauritius economy driving force; now, however, it makes just 0.4% of the Mauritius total GDP (US$14 milliard).
The experts admit the Oct 2018 Apr 2019 Maritius domestic climatic conditions (in part., precipitation and sunshine) were favorable for the sugar cane sprouts’ development.
As to the report, the Mauritius sugar output totaled 323,406 tons.
It is to be admitted, earlier, the Muritius economy was focused mainly on sugar and
textiles’ output; now, however, the country economy has widened by tourism, offshore banking and business outsourcing, thus having turned Mauritius into one of the most stable and prosperous African countries.
