Ukrainian 2019 Q1 agricultural products EU export up over 24%

As of this year Jan-Mar, the Ukrainian companies have boosted their agricultural products export to EU by 24.4% against last year Jan-Mar, Ukrinform says referring to Ukrainian Acting Minister of Agrarian Policy and Foods Olga Trofimtseva Facebook report.
«Within this year first quarter, export of agricultural products from Ukraine to the EU countries has grown to US$1.88 milliard, up 24.4% against last year similar,» Trofimtseva writes.
As to her, within this year Jan-Mar, Ukraine has grown agricultural products’ import from EU countries to US$734.6 million, up 9.9% against last year similar.
As to report, within this year Jan-Mar, the biggest purchasers of the Ukrainian agricultural products were made by the Netherlands (US$379 million), Spain (US$342 million), Italy (US$215 million), Poland (US$178 million) and Germany (US$157 million). However, at same time, the biggest EU exporters of the agricultural products to Ukraine were Poland (US$150 million), Germany (US$120 million), France (US$85 million), Italy (US$67 million) and Hungary (US$49 million).
As to Trofimtseva, within this year Jan-Mar, Ukraine has been exporting to EU mostly grains (50% of its total agricultural products’ EU export shipments), vegetable oils (17.8%) and foods industry residues and waste (8.5%).
