Belarus restricted pork import from Kirovograd region due to ASF
23.04.2019 19:04 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of this week, Belarus has restricted the pork import from the Ukrainian Kirovograd region due to African swine fever (ASF) outbreak, BelTA says referring to the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision of the Belarus Agriculture Ministry report.
It is to be admitted, as to the International Epizootic Bureau, a case of swine fever has been registered within the Kirovograd region. Due to that, the Belarus authorities have introduced temporary restrictions on the import into Belarus of live pigs, zoo and circus animals of susceptible species, pork (including wild boar meat) and other edible pig resources, as well as the pork processed products.
Thus, all the previously issued permits to import these goods from Kirovograd region to Belarus are canceled.
