Some Ukrainian crops demonstrate record high yields this year

This year, a number of the Ukrainian regions have demonstrated record high yields of maize, sunseeds, soybeans and sugar beets, UNIAN says referring to Ukrainian First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Maxym Martyniuk Facebook report.
«As to the regions’ operational data on the late crops harvesting, several regions have reached the highest yields within their history of observations,» he wrote.
Thus, for instance, an historical maximum of the maize yield is expected within the Vinnytsia region, where the maize average yield is 93.6 metric centners per ha, within the Kyiv region - 83.6 metric centners per ha and the Sumy region - 83.3 metric centners per ha.
Besides, some regions show their sunseeds record high yields: the Khmelnitsky region - 31 metric centners per ha, the Cherkasy region - 30.6 metric centners per ha and the Vinnytsia region - 30.5 metric centners per ha.
In addition, some regions demonstrate their soybeans record high yields: the Zaporozhia region - 33 metric centners per ha, the Kherson region - 32.8 metric centners per ha and the Khmelnytsky region - 32.8 metric centners per ha.
As to Martyniuk, several Ukrainian regions have also shown their sugar beets record high yields: the Vinnytsia region - 537 metric centners per ha,
the Khmelnitsky region - 500 metric centners per ha and the Kyiv region - 497 metric centners per ha.
It is to be admitted, the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food has recently confirmed its Ukrainian grains/leguminous crops forecast as much as 63.1 million tons.
