26.09.2018 22:59 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of this week, a meeting of the Working Group on the Operation of the Grains Market under the chairmanship of Ukrainian First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Maxim Martyniuk has been held, Ukrinform says referring to the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food report.
As to the report, the Working Group has approved the decision saying the Ukrainian «8+8» format wheat export lots (fixed within the Memorandum of Understanding for 2018/19 MY between Agrarian Ministry and the grains market participants) are not to be reviewed.
«The forecasted wheat export lots are to remain at the level of indicators fixed within the Memorandum of Understanding for 2018/19 MY between the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food and the grains market participants that is, 8 million tons food wheat and 8 million tons feed wheat», the report reads.
Martyniuk noted that, while signing the Memorandum this year Aug, the parties admitted that, if necessary, the food and feed wheat export balance is to be adjusted.
«We have not received any applications from the grains traders to boost the wheat export, so presently the Memorandum implementation is going on within the regime acceptable to all parties. Thus, now we do not see any need to change of the forecasted wheat export figures,» he said.
It is to be reminded, as of this year Aug 10, the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food had signed a Memorandum of Understanding for 2018/19 MY with representatives of the Ukrainian professional associations, grains market participants and grains exporters in order to support the Ukrainian grains consumption/export balance.
