The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), within the framework of the UN humanitarian assistance, is going to provide 2,750 individual farm economies (located along the buffer zone of Lugansk and Donetsk regions) with young fowl, Ukrinform says referring to the FAO report.
«Each individual farmer gets a choice of 30 chickens, 25 turkeys or 25 ducklings. The shipments of the young fowl will stimulate the eggs’ output of the individual farm economies and give them the opportunity to enter local markets,» the report reads.
In addition, all the individual farmers will be provided with the detailed instructions on how to grow the fowl and both for themselves as well as for sale.
It is to be admitted, earlier, the individual farmers had been given 10 kg of complex feed (the so-called «starter») to ensure the fowl’s complete nutrition.
