IGC upgrades forecast for new agricultural year grains crop

As of this year Apr, the International Grain Council (IGC) has raised its forecast for the global grains crop within the new agricultural year (Jul/18-Jun/19), Interfax-Ukraine says referring the IGC report.
As to the forecast, the new agricultural year grains crop will be 2 milliard 88 million tons (up against previous 2 milliard 87 million tons); the wheat crop forecast has been reduced from 741 million tons down to 739 million tons (maize crop forecast, however, was boosted from 1 milliard 052 million tons up to 1 milliard 054 million tons).
Besides, the forecast say the current agricultural year (Jul/17-Jun/18) grains crop will be 2 milliard 93 million tons (incl. wheat 758 million tons, maize 1 milliard 052 million tons).
It is to be admitted, the IGC has also raised its global soybeans crop and rice crop forecasts for the new agricultural year. Thus, the soybeans crop forecast has been boosted from previous 354 million tons up to 355 million tons (rice crop from 492 million tons up to 493 million tons).
