Acuner: Current EBRD projects within Ukraine aimed at expanding country export capabilities

As of today, while speaking within a press conference in Kyiv, dedicated to the signing of the US$50 million loan agreement with the Nibulon company, Country Director EBRD in Ukraine Sevki Acuner has said the EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) is currently financing the Ukrainian projects that are aimed at expanding of the country export capabilities, Ukrinform reports.
«We are implementing the projects which are aimed at expanding the export opportunities of Ukraine, and not only within the agricultural sector,» Acuner said.
As to him, this year the EBRD is ready to invest into the Ukrainian agriculture, logistics and renewable energy. However, the list of specific projects will depend on the proposals the Bank will receive.
«The volume of investments will boost depending on the striving,» Acuner said.
It is to be admitted, the EBRD is the Ukrainian largest international financial investor. Since the beginning of its operation within the country within 1993, the Bank has committed to provide almost EUR12.1 milliard to about 400 projects.
It is to be mentioned, today the EBRD has signed a US$50 million loan agreement with the Nibulon company, one of the largest Ukrainian grain market operators.
