Ukrainian 2017 agricultural products export up 16.3%

As of 2017, Ukrainian agricultural products’ trade has grown to US$22.6 milliard (incl. export over US$17.9 milliard, up 16.3% against 2016), Interfax-Ukraine says referring to the Ukrainian
Agricultural Policy and Food Ministry report.
«As of 2017, exports of Ukrainian agricultural products showed positive results, reaching over US$17.9 milliard. Last year the figure was US$15.5 milliard. Today, the share of exports of total trade with agricultural products and food is 79.4%,» the report reads.
As to the report, as of 2017, the Ukrainian grains export has grown by US$2.1 milliard, totaling US$16.7 milliard (animal products improved by US$371.4 million, accounting for almost US$1.3 milliard).
Reportedly, as of 2017, grains shared 36.2% of total agricultural products’ export (vegetable oil 25.1%, oilseeds 11.3%).
As to the report, the top five countries which purchased agricultural products from Ukrainian within 2017 includes India, the Netherlands, Egypt, Spain and China. Export to Asian countries was 42.6% of total agricultural products’ export (European Union 32.4%, African countries 14.2%, the CIS 7.6%, the United States 0.4% and other countries 2.8%).
