23.01.2018 08:02 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Global unemployment is expected to face a slight decline this year, but still it will remain high due to a growing labour force, UN Radio says referring to
the International Labor Organization new «World Employment and Social Outlook» report.
In meanwhile, ILO Director-General, Guy Ryder, says around 192 million people would remain jobless this year.
«The global economy still does not generate enough jobs to significantly lower the number of unemployed, and so the unemployment rate is expected to decline just slightly, from 5.6% within 2017, down to 5.5% within 2018. Thats the first decline within three years,» he stresses.
It is to be admitted, the ILO data shows that unemployment would fall mainly within developed countries, but rise within emerging and developing labour markets, where the workforce is outstripping jobs growth.
