Poroshenko signed law on feeds safety and hygiene

As of this week, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed the Law «On Safety and Hygiene of Feeds» (dated Jan 21, 2017, No. 2264-VIII), which will come into force within two years after its publication, Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports.
As to the report, the Law defines the legal and organizational principles of output, circulation, labeling and presentation of feeds, regulation of relations between executive authorities and feed market operators.
Thus, in part., the Law defines the main terms, defines the powers of executive authorities within this area, the principles and procedure for the implementation of state control, the rights and obligations of feed market operators, the mechanism of their state regulation of production and circulation.
As to the report, the Law is aimed at creating conditions for the development of the Ukrainian feed market, and will contribute to the quality feeds’ output growth as well as provide an opportunity to reduce the financial and administrative burden on market operators, and will introduce standards equivalent to the European law.
