Ukrainian agricultural products export to EU exceeds US$ 5.2 milliard

Ukrainian-EU countries’ Jan-Nov 2017 foreign trade turnover has boosted by 31.1% (or US$ 1.715 milliard) against 2016 similar, up to US$ 7.2 milliard. Simultaneously, exports of Ukrainian agricultural products and food to the EU has grown by 38.2% against 2016 similar, up to US$5.2 milliard, Government Portal says referring to Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine on European Integration Olha Trofimtseva report.
It is to be admitted, she placed an emphasis on the fact that exports of Ukrainian agricultural products to the EU countries within 2016 amounted to US$ 4.2 milliard.
«We are pleased to note that Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and the EU is yielding a result and this is reflected in concrete figures of the growth of our bilateral trade turnover in the agrarian and food sector. We also hope that this positive trend will be further continued in the light of our active cooperation in bringing Ukrainian legislation in the line with the European standards,» the Deputy Minister underscored.
As to her, Ukrainian biggest export shipments were grain (US$ 1.4 milliard), oil (US$ 1.3 milliard) and oilseeds (US$ 0.9 milliard).
As to the Deputy Minister, the key importers of Ukrainian agricultural products and food among EU countries are the Netherlands with 18.4% share, Spain with 14.4%, Poland 13.3%, Italy 11.8% and Germany 10.3%.
