Groisman: Government develops particular tools of 2018 agrarians budget support

As of today, while speaking within a meeting devoted to the issues of development of the Ukrainian agro-industrial sector, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman has said the Cabinet had started developing a
specific mechanisms of support for agribusinesses and is planning its fast approval, Government Portal reports.
As to Groisman, the draft State budget for the next year stipulates that the allocations for this support mechanism would exceed UAH7 milliard.
As to the report, the PM stressed that he had every reason to feel hopeful about the State Budget be approved within this year early Dec. Consequently, mechanisms for realization of budget programs for 2018 should be announced no later than this year mid-Dec so that agrarians could see their possibilities and plan activities.
«Next year we have to solve three problems to saturate the market with products, to preserve export potential, to help farmers,» Groisman said.
«We are going to approve the budget already on Dec 7, hence we will have three weeks to prepare the entire regulatory framework. Therefore, the agrarians will be aware of their opportunities,» he emphasized.
The participants of the meeting stressed that the preliminary amount of budgetary provisions to be directed to the segment of farms the next year will amount to at least UAH1 milliard. So, farmers with land bank of up to 500 hectares and a profit of up to UAH10 million will be eligible for Government assistance. Among the financing priority projects are fruit/berries output, plant growing (excluding grain crops and oilseeds), viticulture, apiculture, animal husbandry (a full range of activities), fish farming and organic products’ output. Budgeting can be allotted both to replenish the circulation capital and to boost the output.
