23.11.2017 14:28 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of today, while on a official visit to Poltava region, and while visiting several wells of the SE Ukrgazvydobuvannya, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman said the policy pursued by the Government on making Ukraine an energy independent country stipulates a boost of its own gas output to 20 milliard cubic meters by 2020, Government Portal reports.
«As to this year results, we boosted the output to 15.2 milliard cubic meters, and we set the task to reach 20 milliard cubic meters by 2020,» the Prime Minister stressed.
He placed an emphasis on the fact that energy independence will not only allow to eliminate import of fuel that was used as an instrument of pressure on Ukraine, but also will allow to reduce gas prices within the state.
«Ukraine will be energy independent and citizens will have an access to cheap gas,» the Head of Government underscored.
