UNAIDS: Nearly 21 million now have access to HIV treatment

Nearly 21 million people worldwide living with HIV now have access to life-saving medicines, an example of the «remarkable progress» that has been made within treatment, UN Radio says referring to the UNAIDS report.
It is to be admitted, the UNAIDS is now leading the fight to stamp out AIDS worldwide by 2030.
As to the report, only 685,000 people living with HIV had access to antiretroviral treatment within 2000, rising to 20.9 million by Jun 2017.
As to the UNAIDS, its task now is to ensure that the more than 17 million people worldwide who need treatment, including 919,000 children, can also access medicine.
