Lithuanian politicians present Marshall Plan for Ukraine

As of this week , while sharing an interview with the 112.Ukraine TV Channel, the former prime minister of Lithuania, a current member of the Seimas, Andrius Kubilius, has said a resolution is likely to be adopted next week within the European Parliament with recommendations for the Eastern Partnership summit, which will include an article on the so-called Marshall Plan for Ukraine, NRCU reports.
«We hope that a special resolution with recommendations for the Eastern Partnership summit will be finally adopted in the European Parliament next week. This resolution contains a special paragraph that dedicated to this plan, which is called the European Plan for Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia. We hope that during the summit there will be a lot of talk and we will approach the real decisions of the EU on how to bring this plan to life,» he said.
As to the report, Kubilius noted that the approval of this Marshall Plan for Ukraine directly depends on the agreement of this matter by the EU member states.
It is to be admitted, within this week in Vilnius the ambassadors of the EU countries, the U.S., Canada and Japan presented the «Marshall Plan» for Ukraine. It is designed for ten years and in the medium term (20182020) provides for the allocation of US$5 milliard per year.
The Eastern Partnership summit will be held in Brussels on this year Nov 24.
