Ukrainian farmers thresh almost 39 mln tonnes grains

As of this year Sept 18, Ukrainian agrarians threshed 38.5 million tonnes of grains/leguminous crops from 10 million ha (69% of the total planned), UNIAN says referring to the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry report.
As to the report, agrarians completed, in part., harvesting of early grains/leguminous crops from an area of 9.7 million ha, having threshed 37.5 million tonnes of grains with an average yield of 3.89 tonnes per ha.
At the same time, 127,000 tonnes of buckwheat was threshed from 110,000 ha (61%), 62,000 tonnes of millet from 43,000 ha (72%), and 660,000 tonnes of maize from 137,000 ha.
As to the report, in addition, the agrarians threshed 2.8 million tonnes of sunflower from 1.6 million ha (26%), 583,000 tonnes of soybeans from 334,000 ha (17%), as well as 1.1 million tonnes of sugar beet (and already transported 920,000 tonnes of this product from 27,000 hectares (9%).
Reportedly, the highest yield of grains/leguminous crops was reported in Khmelnitskiy region (5.57 tonnes per ha), Ternopil region (5.27 tonnes per ha), Ivano-Frankivsk region (5.24 tonnes per ha), Chernivtsi region (5.04 tonnes per ha), Vinnytsia region (4.96 tonnes per ha), and Lviv region (4.83 tonnes per ha).
