28.08.2017 16:11 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
While sharing an interviews with Interfax-Ukraine, Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Ukrainian Trade Representative Natalia Mykolska said the free trade agreement (FTA) between Ukraine and Israel could have some exceptions for some groups of agricultural products.
«Israel did not propose the exclusion of agrarian products from the free trade agreement. For Ukraine, which exports 40% of agricultural products, any agreements should and will take into account the interests of producers and exporters of this important sector of the economy of our country. Our agreement will have some exceptions for agricultural goods from both sides,» she said.
«At all negotiations the Ukrainian delegation pays special attention to the access of domestic agrarian products and products with high added value to the markets of other countries,» she said.
As to the earlier report, earlier Minister for Environmental Protection, for Jerusalem Affairs and Israeli Heritage Zeev Elkin had said that Israel is ready not to include agricultural products into the FTA with Ukraine.
He had said that the issue of supplies of agricultural products could be regulated within agreements signed by economy ministries of the two countries and supplying companies.
