Gov gives green light to Fourth-Generation Mobile Communication System within Ukraine

At its today meeting, the Cabinet has approved the decision on the launching of the sale of licenses of the Fourth-Generation Mobile Communication System (4G), Government Portal reports.
As to the report, while introducing the corresponding decree, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman has said that this is another step towards the economic strengthening of Ukraine, and so development of the telecommunication industry will be an additional driver of the country economic growth.
As to the report, Groisman emphasized that the competition for the sale of licenses will be transparent to the greatest possible extent and its results eventually will bring new technologies to the State, while the budget will receive additional revenues.
«We expect the public sale enables us to increase the flow of funds in the state budget, but the most important tomodern infrastructure, which will develop the national economy,» Groisman stressed.
Besides, Stepan Kubiv, Ukrainian First Vice Prime Minister, underlined that the introduction
of 4G communications within Ukraine is of utmost importance, because our country within this aspect lags behind the leading countries of the world. So, the adoption of the Gov decisions is a long -felt need.
«The introduction of the 4G will allow to expand the possibilities of the State and business within different areas, to achieve GDP growth and to create new jobs,» Kubiv admitted.
