04.08.2017 09:17 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Two UN agencies are supporting the Somali government in stepping up efforts to address a severe drought in the country which has displaced more than 800,000 people.
UN migration agency, IOM, and the UN Development Programme (UNDP), joined with the authorities to organize a training session held this week on improving coordination and management of camps for the displaced, UN Radio reports.
As to the report, the IOM says its goal is to streamline emergency response as well as to support the government in better managing disasters and planning for early recovery.
It is to be admitted, over 30 people took part in the four-day training, including representatives from government ministries, international NGOs and the UN.
