Groisman: We have started Ukrainian farming restoring and put UAH1 milliard into Budget to support farmers

21.07.2017 16:11 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of today, while speaking within his working visit to Ternopil region, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman said the Government sees the final stage of development of the program aimed to support Ukrainian farming, and so is planning the sum not below UAH1 milliard w the draft State budget for 2018 for these purposes, Government Portal reports. «Almost 30 years ago it was Ternopil region where the first farm appeared. These days we are working to shape an efficient farming support program. In the coming weeks we have to come to final decision,» Groisman admitted. «Within the draft budget for 2018, the Government will offer to the Parliament to allocate UAH1 milliard to promote small farms’ development — to add processing, creating new jobs to cultivation being the only activity in rural areas nowadays,» he added. As a part of the visit to one of the agrarian companies of the region, Volodymyr Groisman talked to agrarians and tried himself as a combine operator.
