Within Yemen, the life-threatening cholera has reached all of the country 21 different governorates, UN Radio says referring to the OCHA (UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs) report.
As to the report, there are 270,000 suspected cases of the water-borne disease, accounting for more than 1,600 deaths since this year late Apr.
It is to be admitted, the UN and health partners have set up 2,350 treatment beds and more than 600 oral rehydration points throughout Yemen, to help deal with the major outbreak.
As to the report, more than 17 million people do not know where their next meal is coming from; a result of months of crippling fighting between Saudi-led coalition forces and Houthi rebels.
In meanwhile, the World Food Programme (WFP) said within this week it was scaling-up its emergency operations as famine looms, and called for immediate funds and unimpeded access to reach those most in need.
