Groisman: River transport revival will provide impetus to logistics development within economy various sectors

As of yesterday, while on a working visit to Zaporizhia region, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman said the revival of the Ukrainian river transport and use of river and sea routes will boost the development of the Ukrainian logistics capabilities within many economic spheres, in particular the agricultural sector, Government Portal reports.
It is to be admitted, Groisman admitted that while getting acquainted with facilities of a new transshipment terminal for grains and oil crops’ shipment for river transport in the Bilenke village, Zaporizhia region.
«River transport is almost halted. We can fully harness the potential of the said transport for goods transfer around the world. We need a new legislative framework as well as support of the river fleet. There is a great potential for the development of the river transport,» he noted.
