22.03.2017 15:10 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of today, while speaking within a Cabinet meeting, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman called on society and experts to join the process of creation of an effective system to root out corruption in Government structures, Government Portal reports.
«Corruption deprives us of the opportunity to ensure sustainable development and denudes people of hope that the situation may change and is just destroying our country from the inside. It is vital for us to obtain the support of the expert community in restoring order in this issue. The Government cannot do it alone. It needs help of the public and experts to instill order and build an effective scheme to curb corruption,» Groisman said.
As to the report, he reminded that there had been established and was operating a joint Government-public initiative «Together Against Corruption». For the first time information regarding the groups work was presented at the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at the end of 2016. According to the promise of the Prime Minister, these reports have become a regular practice and will be announced once every three months.
«We must respond more effectively to corruption threats and manifestations that occur in different systems,» Groisman urged.
