Poroshenko met with Israeli Knesset Speaker

As of yesterday, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Speaker of the Knesset of Israel Yuli-Yoel Edelstein discussed a wide range of issues, including cooperation in political and trade-economic spheres, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the parties noted active work of the interparliamentary groups of friendship of Ukraine and Israel, their significant contribution to the development of interpersonal contacts.
Reportedly, the parties also discussed the acceleration of concluding the Free Trade Treaty between Ukraine and Israel. Special attention was paid to the intensification of cooperation in the investment sphere.
As to the report, Poroshenko informed that he had signed the Law of Ukraine on ratification of the Agreement between the Ukrainian Cabinet and the Israeli Government on temporary employment of Ukrainian employees. The Agreement will allow the employment of thousands of qualified Ukrainian specialists who will get reliable social guarantees and rights within their work in Israel.
As to the report, the Speaker of the Knesset expressed gratitude to Ukraine for the measures taken to commemorate the victims of the Babyn Yar tragedy that took place 75 years ago. He also emphasized a great importance of those measures for millions of Israelis.
