President considers work of Leszek Balcerowicz and Ivan Mikloš in Group of Advisors for Supporting Reforms in Ukraine extremely important
25.04.2016 09:17 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of the last week, while speaking within the interview with Ukrainian TV channels, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said he expected good results from Leszek Balcerowicz and Ivan Mikloš in the implementation of reforms in Ukraine aimed at the fulfillment of the Association Agreement and bringing our country closer to the EU membership criteria, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
«Leszek Balcerowicz and Ivan Mikloš were the authors of profound economic transformations that brought Poland and Slovakia to an absolutely new level adapted to joining the European Union. I see that they both believe in Ukraine,» Poroshenko said.
As to the report, Poroshenko emphasized that they «have confidence and tasks from the President». They also have respective team and resources for the fulfillment of these tasks.
«The majority of strategic advisors in the Group of Advisors for Supporting Reforms in Ukraine are Ukrainians. Their opinion will be heard and they will have an opportunity to fulfill their potential. Moreover, they are not only representatives of civil society, but also deputy ministers. It was my proposal and I am glad that it has been fulfilled,» the President said.
As to Poroshenko, he is hopeful that this team would also find the right words «to explain the essence of reforms».
