Simplified procedure of border control for Ukrainian citizens introduced in five Ukrainian airports
07.03.2016 09:17 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
The simplified procedure of border crossing for the Ukrainian citizens has proved efficient in the Boryspil airport and from now on will be extended to the Kyiv (Zhuliany), Kharkiv, Lviv and Odesa airports, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, an experiment which was launched in Dec 2015 at the Boryspil airport has enabled more comfortable conditions for passengers and was positively assessed by both citizens and airport officials. Since that time, a simplified mechanism of border control has been used by over 100 thousand nationals.
Therefore, since this year Mar 4, the Ukrainian State Border Service will apply this experience to another international border crossing points.
As to the report, the aforesaid procedure of passport control for the citizens of Ukraine significantly simplifies crossing the border and allows to pass border processing procedure within 35 seconds. The result is achieved due to obtaining information about the Ukrainians who return to Ukraine in advance. During the flight time such information is processed, hence, the border guards have only to carry out the face control.
