Yatseniuk: new structure of local administrations must meet new economic, social and political realities

While speaking at the Cabinet meeting today, the Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk said the new structure of local administrations must meet new economic, social and political realities, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, a draft reform of the Ukrainian local State Administrations was presented within the meeting by the Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services Ghennadiy Zubko presented a draft reform of the Ukrainian local State Administrations.
Reportedly, Yatseniuk stressed that amendments to the Constitution on decentralization would change the management system in the regions as a whole. The Prime Minister pointed out that at this stage the Regional State Administrations and District State Administrations are required to act like real authorities, and the Heads of State Administrations are required to do their work in full strength.
Also, Yatseniuk said the Heads of regions and districts must work directly with the ordinary people, since people estimate the authorities through deeds of each Head of Administration, either of a district or a region.
