Poroshenko after meeting with EBRD President: We expect expansion of EBRD projects' portfolio in Ukraine

As of today, within the framework of the WEF in Davos, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with EBRD President Suma Chakrabarti, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, Poroshenko noted that the EBRD is the biggest financial investor in Ukraine and expressed gratitude for the consistent powerful support for our state.
In his turn, Suma Chakrabarti assured that the EBRD would remain a reliable partner of Ukraine in the implementation of reforms, particularly in the energy, banking and anti-corruption spheres.
Besides, the interlocutors also noted the importance of privatization of State-owned companies in Ukraine.
«We expect the expansion of EBRD projects’ portfolio for the development of public transport, energy sphere and utility infrastructure,» Poroshenko emphasized.
As to the report, the parties also highlighted the key role of the EBRD in the projects on liquidation of the aftermath of the Chernobyl accident.
Reportedly, the Ukrainian Head of State invited the EBRD President to visit Ukraine within the commemorative activities to mark the 30th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.
