Ukrainian President, Dutch Prime Minister discussed agenda of Ukraine-EU relations

As of yesterday, while participating the World Economic Forum in Davos, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the President congratulated the Prime Minister on the assumption of the presidency in the Council of the European Union by the Netherlands.
Reportedly, Poroshenko believes the DCFTA functioning, the decision by the Council of the European Union on the introduction of the visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens in 2016 and the entry into full force by the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU are the key issues of the Ukraine-EU agenda within the 2016 first half.
As to the report, the parties coordinated positions within the context of the future consultative referendum on the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU (that is to be held in the Netherlands on Apr 6, 2016).
Reportedly, the President counts on further solidarity and unity of the EU in the issue of support for Ukrainian independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
As to the report, the parties emphasized the importance of maintaining sanctions against Russia for the non-implementation of the Minsk agreements.
Besides, the interlocutors also discussed a series of issues of bilateral cooperation, particularly in economic and investment spheres, as well as in the area of technical assistance.
Reportedly, Poroshenko confirmed the interest of the Ukrainian side in the forthcoming visit of the Dutch business mission headed by the Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, as well as in the holding of a large-scale Ukrainian-Dutch business forum in the Netherlands.
