Pavlenko: Trade with EU not to affect quotas for Ukrainian agricultural products
06.01.2016 18:07 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
"The introduction of the free trade area between Ukraine and the EU will not affect the mechanism of quotas. The list of goods subject to tariff quotas will not change," NRCU says quoting the Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Oleksiy Pavlenko Facebook report.
It is to be admitted, Pavlenko also explains how the agricultural exports from Ukraine might be expanded within the framework of the mechanism of tariff quotas.
«The list of unfilled quotas includes lamb, sugar syrups, starch, bran, mushrooms, sweet corn, garlic, processed milk and butter products. These are the categories of goods for which there is no competition among the Ukrainian manufacturers, and we strongly encourage domestic agricultural enterprises to consider the possibility of producing the said products,» the Minister notes.
