Argentina to start making Belarusian trucks within late 2016

The output of Belarusian trucks is supposed to start in Argentina in late 2016. The project was presented during a meeting involving representatives of Argentinean trucking companies and the MAZ-SPORTavto team, Belarus Radio reports referring to
BelTA.
As to the report, the factory is supposed to be built in the city of Veinticinco de Mayo, 250km away from Buenos Aires.
Reportedly, the memorandum of cooperation in starting the assembly project was signed Sept 2015. Minsk Automobile Plant MAZ trademark and Argentinean investors will work together as part of the project. The factory will be able to assemble 1,000 vehicles yearly.
As to the report, plans have been made to assemble various models. The Argentinean market primarily needs automobiles for intercity and international transportation as well as agricultural machines.
Reportedly, the first few vehicles are supposed to be assembled within late 2016.
