Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry presents service for businesses to make public procurement more transparent in 2016

As of today, the Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Infrastructure/Chief of Staff Volodymyr Omelian has presented a unified database of public procurement (performed by those Ukrainian State-owned companies which are subordinate to the Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure), Government Portal reports.
As to the report, these are the first results of the new electronic document management system introduced in the Ministry within this year early Dec.
Reportedly, the new database permits the Ukrainian busness representatives to get already now the information about the procurement plans of 15 State-owned companies for the total amount over UAH5 milliard. As of now, the database is being filled and by the yearend it will include the data on most of State-owned companies.
The database will be available on the website of the Ministry of Infrastructure within the «Procurement» section of the «Business» column.
In fact, this service is a widget which is very easy to use. It affords to analyze which goods and services, to what extent and at what time are planned by a particular State-owned company to be bought. The goods’ suppliers will be able by making a few clicks to see which State-owned companies need goods or services he supplies and at what time. This will allow the goods’ suppliers to plan their activity in advance for the next year.
Omelian added this data will also be available on the Ministry website and the Government open data portal data.gov.ua.
