Ukrainian President had a meeting with US Vice President in New York

As of yesterday, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with US Vice President Joseph Biden in New York, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, Poroshenko thanked the USA for supporting Ukraine, particularly for a powerful statement by President of the United States Barack Obama at the UN General Assembly.
Reportedly, the parties agreed that Russia must fully implement the Minsk agreements.
As to the report, the U. S. Vice President emphasized that the issue of Ukraine’s security was not in any way related to the situation in Syria. Also, Biden praised the conclusion of the agreement in Minsk on Sept 29 on the withdrawal of heavy weaponry of caliber less than 100 mm.
As to the report, the parties coordinated their positions on the eve of the meeting in the Normandy format that will take place on October 2 in Paris.
