President approved additional measures on establishment of Ukraine/EU visa-free regime

As of today, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed a Decree to enact the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of Jul 20, 2015 "On Additional Measures to Establish Visa-Free Regime between Ukraine and the European Union", President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, under this decision the Cabinet is to immediately take additional steps to ensure the implementation of recommendations from the Fifth Report of the European Commission on the progress of Ukraine regarding the implementation of the Plan of Actions on the liberalization of the visa regime for Ukraine by the EU. Particularly, it goes about the improvement of the mechanism of coordination and evaluation of activity of central authorities on the fulfillment of the Plan of Actions, the creation of the system of control and real-time monitoring over the implementation of tasks in the sphere of European integration.
As to the report, the Ministry of the Interior must immediately complete the construction of temporary accommodation center for IDPs in Yahotyn (Kyiv region) and temporary accommodation center for foreigners and stateless individuals who reside in Ukraine illegally in Martynivske (Mykolaiv region).
Within a month, the Ministry of the Interior and respective bodies must efficiently implement the concept of integrated border control: improve interagency cooperation, exchange of data between the law enforcement bodies, methodology of risk analysis and technical opportunity for the access to the Interpol database at the checkpoints on the state border of Ukraine.
Reportedly, the Ministry of the Interior must also enhance the institutional capability of relevant departments of the State Migration Service of Ukraine on countering illegal migration, establishing efficient cooperation with the EU member-states in the given sphere at the interagency level.
Reportedly, the Ministry of the Interior must also create a virtual contact analytical center and a database on migration to ensure the information exchange and the monitoring of the situation in the sphere of migration.
As to the report, within a month the Ukrainian State Border Service must conclude international treaties with the neighboring states on joint patrolling and control over the state border.
Reportedly, the decision also provides for comprehensive proposals on the reformation of the law enforcement bodies of Ukraine in conformity with the EU standards and criteria. It is also stipulated to take measures for the accession to the Schengen Information System.
