Pavlenko: Support of farming included into Agrarian Policy Ministry top priorities

Within his last week working trip to Ternopil region, Oleksiy Pavlenko, the Ukrainian Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food, held a meeting with leading agrarians of the region and informed the farmers on the implementation of reforms in the agrarian sector, Government Portal reports
«Now the agricultural sector is essential for the national economy. The industry is the source of over a third of the net foreign earnings, the basis of food security and social stability of the country. The Ministry of Agrarian Policy is making every effort to revive business activity, it introduces a comprehensive reform of deregulation of the industry,» Pavlenko noted.
Thus, as to Pavlenko, the deregulation process has created the conditions for the Ukrainian agrarian market participants to save up to UAH5 milliard. The regulatory procedures in the industry have been simplified by 50%. Upon whole, over 14 permits, veterinary certificates, quality certificates and 6 licenses have been cancelled and at same time, over 50 legislative changes in the agricultural sector came into force.
