Ukrainian President: There are no untouchables in authorities

As of yesterday, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko made a decision to suspend Head of Bobrovytsia DSA in Chernihiv region Mykola Suprun and Head of Hola Prystan DSA in Kherson region Oleksandr Bohunenko for the period of investigation. They were detained by the law enforcement bodies and accused of receiving illegal benefits, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the President was informed on the course of the operation by the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office.
Reportedly, the Prsedient praised the work of the Main Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office on combating corruption.
As to the report, Poroshenko once again emphasized the need for severe struggle against bribery in the state authorities.
«Decisive anti-corruption activity of the Prosecutor General’s Office confirms our clear position - there are no untouchables in the authorities,» Poroshenko noted.
