Youth urged by Secretary-General to speak out for progress

As of today, while speaking on International Youth Day, the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has urged young people across the globe to demand and foster dramatic progress, UN Radio reports.
As to the report, Ban Ki-moon said that as world leaders prepare to adopt a bold new vision for sustainable development in Sept, the engagement of youth is more valuable than ever.
As to him, young people are proving to be invaluable partners in creating a future where the planet is protected and all people live in dignity.
As to Ban Ki-moon, young people are contributing fresh ideas and organizing through social media.
Mr. Ban applauded youth for speaking out against injustice, and supported their call for steps to ensure human rights, economic progress and protection of the environment.
It is to be admitted, this year marks the third International Day of Youth and the 20th anniversary of the UNs World Program of Action for Youth.
