Working group on security of the trilateral contact group on Ukraine continues work in Minsk

As of today, the working group on security of the trilateral contact group on Ukraine continues its talks in Minsk. The meeting is taking place behind closed doors at the President Hotel, Belarus Radio reports.
As to the report, it is expected that the group will develop a new text of the agreement on the withdrawal of weapons with the caliber below 100mm from the contact line.
Reportedly, on the eve Minsk played host to a meeting of OSCE representatives that opened the talks on Ukraine crisis. Apart from that, the trilateral contact group on Ukraine and its working groups held meetings behind closed doors, which lasted well over 12 hours.
Reportedly, the OSCE special representative in the trilateral contact group on Ukraine Martin Sajdik provided a comment for the media in the early hours of August 4.
«We have worked for very long, especially the working group on security. The parties have agreed to continue talks on the agreement to withdraw tanks and artillery guns with a caliber below 100mm and mine throwers with a caliber below 120mm,» Sajdik said.
