Agreement on post-2015 development agenda welcomed by UN chief

As of Sun, all 193 Member States of the United Nations have reached an agreement on the post-2015 development agenda. The agreement has been welcomed by the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, UN Radio reports.
It is to be admitted, in Sept, world leaders are expected to formally adopt the document called ‘Transforming our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development’.
It will set new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which will replace the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) expiring at the end of the year.
As to the report, the new development agenda means an historic turning point for the world according to the UN chief.
Reportedly, in a statement on Sun, Ban Ki-moon described the document as a plan of action for ending poverty in all its dimensions, irreversibly and everywhere.
As to the report, he called it the «peoples agenda» and said it seeks to forge partnerships with individuals and the planet.
Reportedly, Mr. Ban explained that it consists of 17 Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs, which he said demonstrate the scale and ambition of the new agenda.
It is scheduled to be adopted at the United Nations Summit in Sept in New York.
