The Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has appealed to the Verkhovna Rada members to adopt bill No. 2670 on improvement of legislation in heat supply and housing sphere, which will enable to obtain US$500 million from the World Bank and US$300 million as a macro-financial assistance from the Government of Japan, Government Portal says referring to the Yatseniuk’s report at the Hour of Questions to the Government in the Verkhovna Rada on Fri, Apr 24.
While speaking to the Verkhovna Rada, Yatseniuk expressed gratitude for the adoption by the coalition of parliamentary factions of a number of Government bills.
However, at the same time he reminded that yesterday’s session of the Verkhovna Rada resulted into a failure to approve bill No. 2670 - on improvement of legislation in heat supply, housing and communal services sphere.
Yatseniuk urged MPs to adopt the bill at today’s meeting: «Today is the last day we have an opportunity to receive US$500 million from the World Bank and US$300 million as a macro-financial assistance from Japan - it is crucial.»
«Unfortunately, this law hasn’t been voted for three times by Parliament. Failure to vote for this bill means minus 800 million dollars to the Ukrainian economy to create new jobs. I call on Parliament’s members to reconsider this issue and vote for this bill efficiently,» the Government Head said.
