17.04.2015 10:41 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
"Ukraine expects the European Union to confirm the possibility of abolishing entry visas for Ukrainians at the Eastern Partnership summit in Riga in late May, and hopes that visa-free travel will be launched in early 2016," NRCU reports quoting the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin as speaking in a TV interview on Thurs.
«During the Riga summit we expect to receive a clear political message that after all the reforms envisioned in the second phase of the Visa Action Plan are implemented, the European Commission will make a positive decision which will be supported by the EU member states,» Klimkin admitted.
As to him, the reformation of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry is about to be ended, the fight against corruption has been stepped up, and biometric passports are being issued.
«All the required procedures will hopefully be completed by the end of this year,» Klimkin said.
