19.04.2006 09:57 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Within this year Jan-Mar milk, dairy products and honey (Group 04) export has fallen to US$46.1 mn, down US$40.4 mn (- 46.8%) against last year Jan-Mar, reported State Statistics Committee.
As to experts, current export fall is due firstly to Ukrainian dairy products RF export decline (started after Rosselhoznadzor Jan 20 Ukrainian animal products ban).
As earlier reported, Rosselhoznadzor had permitted 6 Ukrainian dairy companies to resume RF export shipments.
Some companies have already renewed dairy products supplies to Russia and are selling their products at prices up US$5,00 per kg as of before RF had embargoed Ukrainian meat/dairy products import.
It is to be reminded, Jan 20 Russia had banned all kinds Ukrainian animal products import; presently many Ukrainian dairy plants either function with production facilities minimal charge or stand idle.
